Your ascent begins with a bus ride through a natural stone tunnel to the Lärchenwand funicular. You will then continue by bus to the Mooserboden reservoir.

Full day trip - 195 kilometresThe most famous alpine road ends in front of the pièce de résistance of Hohe Tauern National Park: the highest mountain and the largest glacier in Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798 m) and the Pasterze. On the drive up to the 1500 m Kaiser Franz Josefs Höhe, you will cross all vegetation zones, from grain fields to a world of eternal ice. You will then continue to the enchanting village of Heiligenblut, popular with mountaineers, through magnificent Iseltal valley in East Tyrol, then back along the Felbertauernstraße.

The "Alpine Coaster" is located at the Maiskogel in Kaprun, right next to the family leisure park. With the lift it goes up to the start and then like on a roller coaster over bridges, waves and through steep curves back into the valley.
